Show more "The Charity's Trust deed requires applicants to demonstrate both need and 10 years prior residence in the civil parish of Saltwood. The trustees are in the process of obtaining Charity Commission approval to expand the qualifying area to the Folkestone and Hythe District (with preference for those with a personal connection with Saltwood) and will be happy to receive applications from this wider area. Residents must be able to live independently.

The words of the trust deed of 1899 refer to those 'who from age, ill- health, accident or infirmity shall be unable to maintain themselves from their own exertions.' In today's circumstances the trustees are looking for applications from those who would have difficulty securing long term accommodation from their own resources." Show less
