Britten Court provides specialist nursing and dementia care for up to 80 residents. A day club adjacent to the home also offers day care and respite facilities for local people who live independently in their own homes.All 80 bedrooms in the home are spacious and have their own en-suite facilities. The rooms are spacious and contain quality furnishings and fittings. Residents are welcome to bring their own treasured possessions and items of furniture to make their rooms their own.
Designed for comfort
The two-storey home is divided into four separate suites, each with its own lounge, dining room, and quiet seating area. This ‘community within a community’ layout is helpful for people living with dementia, as it keeps to-ings and fro-ings to a minimum, helping them to feel more secure.
Our landscaped gardens are stocked with mature trees, shrubs and flower beds, and the downstairs bedrooms each have their own door to the gardens. Residents are encouraged to keep busy and they are very welcome to help with sowing seeds, planting and weeding in the gardens. Our upstairs lounges all have balconies, giving residents the chance to sit and enjoy some fresh air on warmer days." Show less
