Everything from the very careful selection and training of the staff team, to the considered design of the building (built to meet Stirling University's nationally recognised Gold Standard in dementia care design), with attention to numerous small environmental details, has been expertly planned to make living here a real pleasure.The building - set in beautiful landscaped grounds in rural Buckinghamshire, between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough - will be home to 90 people in six smaller, homely wings. The home will cater for a range of needs - frailty and general difficulty managing everyday life, people who are living with dementia and people who require nursing care. Each well appointed wing has its own sitting room, dining room and assisted bathroom, as well as 15 luxurious personal rooms, each with an en suite shower room, WiFi, telephone and TV points.
16 of the ground floor rooms also benefit from their own small, private patio / garden area. The home also benefits from a number of central communal areas, including an atrium and a cinema. The highest standards of catering, which are inspired by our link with the Executive Chef at Waddesdon Manor, will be enjoyed. Varied and regular leisure and lifestyle opportunities will also be provided.
