Careful research and close liaison with the nationally renowned Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Stirling ensures we have developed four unique communities that embrace best practice in the sector, and we are very proud to have received their first ever Gold Standard accreditation for dementia design for The Lodge.
Led by our Home Manager Denise Hampson each community is managed by an experienced Community Lead who is supported by a team of both specialist dementia and general nurses, team leaders and care workers all who have received in house specialist dementia training. The nursing team is supported by our Lead Nurse who ensures we maintain a level of clinical excellence in each community which allows us to deliver complex care and support to people with very different needs and challenges.
The Lodge is part of Buckshaw Retirement Village. Built in 2008, Buckshaw Village sits on the edge of Euxton between the towns of Chorley and Leyland in Lancashire with excellent transport links, shopping and community facilities right on the doorstep. It was the result of a collaboration between The HICA Group and Caddick construction.
