Manager's description

“This extra care home was built to replace existing sheltered accommodation at Mount Pleasant Lane in Hackney, East London. The new facility maximises the site potential and upgraded the level of care to Extra Care Home Standard.

The design objective was to create a new home where people can grow older, maintaining their independence while enjoying high quality communal facilities and comprehensive domestic support and care. All 40 units comply with Lifetime Homes and 13 are specifically designed for people with learning difficulties.

All residents have access to communal facilities including a café for 20 people, treatment room and lounge. In addition there are small communal lounges with terraces on each floor”
