Show more "Sherwood Lodge is a purpose built luxury Care Home with a high proportion of private customers, located in a very pleasant area of north Preston. It was built in 1984 on a 2.5 acre site with its sister nursing home opposite. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment in 2004 creating an activities room and hotel style dining room. The Home provides personal care for all levels of dependency client groups.Barchester is a large sized group based in all parts of the country including Yorkshire, Lancashire, London, the Isle of Wight and Jersey.
The company and Sherwood Lodge are committed to quality care for our residents and quality training for our employees. Once again we have been re-accredited "Investors in People" with a dedicated team in Learning & Development Department led by Director of Training, Terry Tucker, and regional trainers/home trainers to develop our employees to level 2-3 through City & Guilds.
We organise trips out and a wide range of activities to motivate and stimulate our residents in physical and emotional wellbeing.
