The Home Services Directory is a new service from EAC, currently under construction. It aims to provide information about a wide range of services that help older people maintain their independence and quality of life at home – from eye care to telecare, meals on wheels to gardening, home maintenance & adaptations, day centres and transport services.
EAC is building the Directory jointly with local service providers around the country, concentrating on one county or district at a time. So far, it is reasonably well populated for East Sussex, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire and the London Borough of Newham.
What does it do?
- It provides information in a clear, standard format about services in your area.
- It is fully searchable by service type and location, and is accessible via EAC’s websites HousingCare.org and FirstStopAdvice.org.uk, with others to follow.
- All relevant service providers are invited to contribute, including statutory authorities, not-for-profit organisations and private companies.
Search the EAC Home Services Directory now.
What does it cost?
- There is no charge to use the Directory.
- There is no charge to statutory and charitable service provider organisations to appear in the Directory.
- There is a charge to commercial service providers to appear in the Directory.
