Manager's notes:Stephens Court is a popular scheme and is very sought after. It has been in Canning Town for 20 years. The staffing levels are so that our customers feel safe and secure and receive a high level of support. Springboard also has a contract with Newham Social Services for the domiciliary care, therefore the customers of Stephens Court benefit from very flexible care packages. Staff are trained to the highest level with each senior completing level 3 NVQ customer service. The residents at Stephens Court have a voice that is heard about the running of the scheme, including a few of them having trained in interviewing for any new staff. They choose all the furniture, fixtures and fittings, and service improvement meetings are held monthly. They are also involved in estate inspections and health and safety within the scheme. The scheme also has internet access for all residents.
